A French Silver gilded Bronze and Lapis Lazuli Clock
Late 19th Century

An Ottoman nobleman in turban resting on horseback with pistol and sword at his side. The horse with an elaborate saddle and harness with hanging tassels. The lapis clock sits inside the bronze sculpture of a stone cliff with flowers on either side. The lapis base decorated with silver gilt stylized flowers. The entire clock rests on a silver gilt bronze stand with scrolling foliage. Hands number markings replaced.

Lapis Lazuli - a semi precious stone of fine deep blue color with gold speckles and white veins, essentially a sodium aluminum silicate containing some sulfur with bright blue pigment.
